About me

My name is Hayley Kilhams and I am a Humanistic Psychotherapist. Navigating through life can be difficult and there are times when we may feel stuck, overwhelmed or confused by our feelings or relationships. I offer sessions which blend Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis Therapy to create a collaborative space that invites curiosity, support and gentle challenge where appropriate.

I have worked with journeys of depression, anxiety, shame, loss, climate change anxiety, progressive disease, attachment and relationship issues. Whatever you are experiencing, I aim to value your feelings and find a pace that suits you.

I am committed to anti-oppressive practice and strive to create a safe, inclusive space where all identities are respected and your story is heard with honesty, empathy and understanding.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a UKCP registered Humanistic Psychotherapist with a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Studies and Psychotherapeutic Counselling and an MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy from The Metanoia Institute in London and Middlesex University.

I have worked with clients in therapy for over five years, building on 20 years in healthcare and the charity sector including roles within the NHS and Palliative Care. This has included supporting Nurses and Midwives at Nurse Lifeline, offering in-person therapy sessions at The Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service in Ealing, London and New Road Psychotherapy Clinic in Hove as well as working as a Mental Health Support Worker with MIND's Staying Well Service.

I have had the privilege of working with human bereavement for over 20 years and within the past 5 years this has expanded to working with non-human grief and ecological loss.
