About me
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.
I am a fully qualified counsellor offering a professional, welcoming, and confidential space where you can talk openly about whatever may be troubling you. My core approach is Person-Centred, which means I believe that you are the expert in your own life and that counselling should be shaped around you as an individual.
I work integratively because I recognise that no single therapeutic approach is right for every person or every situation. Where appropriate, I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques, adapting the way we work together to reflect your individual needs, experiences and circumstances. My practice can incorporate approaches including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT), alongside Person-Centred and other therapeutic perspectives.
For me, counselling is not about giving advice or telling you what you should do. It is about providing a safe, supportive and non-judgemental relationship where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences and patterns at your own pace. Together, we can develop a greater understanding of what is happening for you and explore the changes that feel right for you.
I work with clients experiencing a range of emotional and personal difficulties and welcome people from different backgrounds, identities and life experiences. Working with difference is an important part of my practice, and I aim to offer counselling that respects you as a whole person.
I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, with the length and focus of therapy discussed and reviewed together. My aim is to provide a flexible service rather than expecting you to fit into a predetermined way of working.
I am fully insured and committed to working safely, ethically and professionally. I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society).
If you are considering counselling but are unsure where to begin, you are welcome to get in touch to discuss what you are looking for and whether working together feels right for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
