I offer straightforward, warmly practical therapy focused entirely on getting your life working well again. Instead of endlessly digging up the past or using heavy clinical jargon, we look at what you need right now. I help clients safely process a wide range of challenges.
Who I Am & My Background
I didn't start my career in a therapy room. I spent decades in the tech industry as a software engineer and architect. Working across a wide variety of organisations gave me a very broad view of working life, and I know exactly how difficult it is to perform under pressure while quietly struggling behind the scenes.
As someone in established, long-term personal recovery myself, I also bring a deeply lived, compassionate understanding to the realities of overcoming dependencies.
Additionally, I provide a warmly affirmative environment for others in the LGBTQ+ community, specialising in Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD). Whether you are navigating traditional family life or alternative structures like ethical non-monogamy and polyamory, you can come exactly as you are without fear of judgment.

Member organisations
The Human Givens Institute (HGI) is both a membership organisation and a professional body representing the interests of those in the caring and teaching professions who have an interest in or utilise the human givens approach. Counselling Directory register Registered Members (MHGI) and Fellow Members (FHGI), who will have completed the Post Graduate Practitioner's Assessment (Part III) and who are fully qualified to practise as a human givens therapist or counsellor. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Typical duration: 2–8 sessions (longer-term available if needed)
Typical frequency: weekly, every other week and ad-hoc
Trust-Based Concessions: I hold two spaces per week for clients who cannot afford the standard fee. This is based entirely on trust - you decide what is genuinely affordable, and I will never ask for proof of income or bank statements. Please just mention it when you get in touch.
