About me
I'm a qualified and BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist, with over nine years of experience working with both adults and young people. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental and warm space to explore whatever issues or concerns you choose to bring to our sessions. I offer sessions from a comfortable and confidential setting both face to face and via video and telephone calls.
At times life can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. This can be due to one or several life stressors or difficult events. These can often leave us feeling stuck, anxious, alone and unsure what to do next. Therapy can help support you through this difficult time, offering a safe space to work through whatever is going on for you.
As well as working with adults in private practice I have experience having worked for a local charity, the NHS and I’m an Anxiety UK approved therapist.
I'm passionate about working with young people and adolescents and I’ve worked as a school counsellor for a number of years. I work in a secondary school supporting young people with concerns such as anxiety, low mood and depression, self harm, low self esteem, exam stress and many more. As well as supporting young people in school settings I also have experience of working with families, teachers and school staff.
I work with young people from aged 13. Alongside talking therapies, having the ability to offer play and creative based therapy enables younger clients to explore their feelings in a safe and more relaxed environment.
I understand that taking those initial steps to access counselling can be daunting, however I hope we can build a comfortable rapport by establishing a genuine and non judgmental relationship. I believe everybody deserves the chance to be heard and supported through their unique and individual journey.
Any queries please don't hesitate to contact me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
