About me

Hello, my name is Hannah and a warm welcome to you.

I am a fully qualified, insured, clinically supervised member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I work to a strict code of ethics and confidentiality.

I completed my formal education in 2024 and I am trained in Person Centred Counselling. This means, in sessions, will I work in a way that puts you at the centre of our work and I will focus on your individual perspective and experiences. I see my role as creating a safe non-judgemental environment where you feel able to explore whatever is important to you and I work hard for you to feel comfortable in sessions. We will go at your pace and I will be right there with you, facilitating your exploration and navigating our way together.

I am passionate about supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing. As someone who has worked in a corporate environment for over 10 years, I know how busy life can be and the pressures professionals are under.

I work with adults over the age of 18 and offer short-term, long-term, or open-ended therapy depending on your individual needs and budget.

I’m currently offering sessions via Zoom, but will be Offering face-to-face sessions soon. Please get in touch if you’d like face-to-face counselling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

What you can expect:

I offer a complimentary 15 minute introductory session, either by phone call or Zoom. This is to discuss what you would like to gain from counselling, and it’s a chance for you to decide whether I feel like the right fit for you. I will also gather some further information about you, as well as explain in more detail the way in which I work.

I will then give you some time to decide if you would like to work with me, and you can contact me to book a full 50-minute session.

I offer counselling via Zoom, which is more convenient and flexible for busy lives.

If you'd like to have an informal chat, book an introductory session, or get some more information, click the 'email me' button above to get in touch. I would be delighted to hear from you.
