About me

Hi, I'm Hannah, a qualified person-centred counsellor, offering a warm, non-judgemental space for individuals to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences at their own pace.

I hold a Level 4 qualification in person-centred therapy and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. I provide a safe, empathetic, and accepting environment where you are encouraged to explore your feelings, thoughts, and challenges. This approach helps you understand yourself better and empowers you to make positive changes at your own pace.

I work with clients facing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, self-esteem, grief, and stress. I am also passionate about supporting those who are going through significant life changes.

I offer both in-person sessions in Brighton and Hove, and online therapy, making it easier to access support from the comfort of your home. I am available both daytime and evenings to suit your needs.

I strive to create a collaborative and empowering relationship with my clients. I am committed to offering a compassionate and respectful space where you can feel heard and understood.

If you're ready to take the first step toward making positive changes, please feel free to contact me at hannahrya@gmail.com or call me on 07766 092340. We can arrange a brief initial consultation to discuss how I can support you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
