About me
Feeling overwhelmed, confused and don’t know where to start? Fed up of experiencing the same patterns and ready for change? Working as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor for over 10 years, I've seen time and again how therapy can be an invaluable and transformative tool.
We all have conflicting parts of ourselves. We wish we could act, think or feel differently and yet we continue to do the same thing over and over. How we speak to ourselves, our past experiences and what we believe about ourselves influences our decisions, our relationships and who we become. I’m really interested in that inner world and how it impacts us. I believe that the more we understand ourselves, the greater the potential for change.
How I Can Support You
I want the people I work with to feel less alone, to feel fully heard, and to develop a greater understanding of who they are and what they want. I work with people facing a variety of challenges including:
- Relationship issues
- Dealing with the internal critic/internal conflict
- Big life decisions
- Difficult feelings like anxiety, stress, panic attacks, low self-esteem, guilt and shame
- Personal growth and a search for greater fulfilment
My practice is based in South Liverpool and I work with individual adults, offering both short and long-term therapy either in-person or online.
Why Work with Me?
Since starting my private practice in 2015, I’ve been supporting people from all walks of life by offering a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental environment. I don’t have a one size fits all approach because we all have a unique story and life experience that shapes who we are.
My training is grounded in Transactional Analysis and Integrative Therapies. Transactional Analysis is a really accessible theory which often provides simple keys to help us understand why we are the way we are. As part of my role, I offer straightforward explanations of the theories I’ve learnt where it might be helpful to support the process of you understanding yourself more fully and therefore having a greater sense of agency in your life.
Alongside this I also find that the intuitive part or the “gut feeling” we all have offers important insights. For some they may describe this as an aspect of their spirituality and it can be integral to how we make choices and find our sense of purpose.
So, if you’re ready to take the next step then together we can navigate the questions and feelings you have to empower you to move forward.
How to Contact Me

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
