About me
Welcome to your therapeutic journey, and I know personally how difficult and nerve-racking it can be to start (or reconvene). I'm Hannah, a person-centred counsellor and am here to support you through what is happening for you at this time. This could be anxiety, depression, want to change something within your life at the moment. This is something that together we can explore and work through.
You are unique and so are your experiences that bring you to the counselling room, and as a person-centred counsellor, I embrace and recognise this as a part of the journey. Together as client and counsellor, we embark on a collaborative journey to facilitate change, with a foundation built on non-judgment and empathy.
We can explore aspects of your life that you want to change and work on to align with your true self, helping you discover and hold onto what is meaningful to you. It is about creating YOUR space in which you feel heard, understood and accepted.
If you are ready to explore, understand and embrace the changes within yourself, I'm here to support and walk alongside you every step of the way.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and work within their professional guidelines therefore providing you with a safe and ethical service.
I offer face-to-face, telephone and online counselling and have afternoon and evening appointments available. Please call or email to arrange an appointment. Each session is 50 minutes (Counselling Hour)
I offer a 30-minute free initial session, either face-to-face, online or over the phone. This is an opportunity for us to meet and for you to talk about what has brought you to counselling. This is no obligation at this point but a chance for you to then decide if you feel I am the right counsellor for you.
I work at The Humber Therapy Centre in Beeston, Nottingham, where parking is available. If you'd like to find out more or make an appointment please contact me either at 07875086859 or email me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
