About me
Hannah Casey Counselling
Creating space for all of you.
No two people experience life in the same way. Your experiences, feelings, relationships and circumstances are uniquely yours, and counselling should reflect that.
You may know exactly what you’d like support with, or you may simply have a sense that something doesn’t feel quite right. Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling after a difficult life event, navigating grief or loss, or finding yourself wanting things to feel different but not knowing where to begin.
Counselling offers a space to slow down, explore your thoughts and emotions, make sense of your experiences, and feel genuinely heard and understood. We’ll work together at your pace, taking time to understand what matters to you and what you hope to gain from counselling.
I'm Hannah, a pluralistic counsellor. I believe counselling is most effective when it's shaped around you as an individual. Pluralistic counselling recognises that there is no single approach that suits everyone. Together, we'll explore what feels most helpful for you and adapt our work as your needs change.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic ideas. My approach is collaborative, compassionate and flexible, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself while finding ways to manage difficulties and make changes that feel meaningful to you.
My therapeutic approach, combined with my own personal experience of counselling, informs the empathy, care and understanding I bring to my work. I believe openness and transparency help build a trusting therapeutic relationship, where you can feel safe to be yourself and explore what matters most to you.
Whether you're hoping to make sense of what you're going through, work towards making changes that feels meaningful to you, develop healthier ways of coping, or simply have somewhere to be yourself, we'll find an approach that feels right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
Professional Experience
For over 10 years, I have supported adults experiencing a wide range of mental health, addiction, substance use, and homelessness challenges across prison, community, and mental health crisis settings. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of the challenges life can bring and reflect my genuine commitment to supporting others.
For the past two years, I have also volunteered as a counsellor with Ellenor Hospice, supporting individuals and families experiencing grief, bereavement and other significant life challenges. I understand that grief is deeply personal, and there is no right or wrong way to grieve. Whether a loss is recent or happened many years ago, I believe support should be available whenever it is needed.
