About me

Hi I'm Hannah, welcome to my page. It can be really daunting reaching out for counselling and Its important to see if you feel you can gel with your counsellor. Someone who is human too and non judgemental. Thats why I offer a free initial consultation for you to get to know me and ask any questions you have about counselling.

I'm classed as a Person Centred Counsellor (BSc Hons) known for being client led and accepting of your circumstances. I adapt to your needs and take on board what you would like from counselling.

Proffessionally I am a member of the National Counselling Society. I also have a registered DBS check.

Mental health concerns affect all of us at different points in our lives. You may have reached a time in your life where you feel overwhelmed or as if you are going round in circles with no way to move forward.

Have you found yourself feeling anxious, depressed or sad?

Are you having feelings of self doubt or struggling with low self esteem?

Have you suffered a bereavement or relationship breakdown that has left you feeling lost and empty?

Have you found yourself having suicidal thoughts and afraid of being able to tell anyone?

Whatever your circumstance counselling can be really valuable.

So what is a Person Centred Counsellor? I am someone who offers sessions that are client led, valuing you as a individual with your own experiences. I feel I can offer you a safe space free of judgement to explore your thoughts and feelings.  As we work together our aim is to empower you to find solutions to any issues you bring to therapy.

On a personal level alongside my counselling practice I have worked in the NHS for 13 years in very challenging environments. I feel this gives me some great insight into health anxieties as well as work related stress and low self confidence.

Within my life I have also experienced many losses and been a carer for a loved one with a terminal illness. I therefore have a huge passion advocating for carers who are often forgotten and may be experiencing grief and loss.

I am also currently running a group session for parental anxiety as this is something i can relate with and feel it's a subject that deserves more credit.

As a counsellor I have been described as human, relatable and non judgemental and therefore if you decide to make contact I will take the time to answer any questions you may have whether that's about counselling or getting to know me as your potential counsellor. It can be hard to reach out for help but I'm here to hopefully help you to start your journey.

I provide a choice of face to face, telephone and online counselling services. This includes counselling for adults, adolescents and couples.
