About me

Perhaps you're caught up in 'shoulds' around how to be? Perhaps you're used to absorbing your surroundings? Perhaps you're seeing your identity in a new way or exploring what your identity means for being you? Perhaps your sense of self is wrapped up in work/ studies, perfectionism or organisational dynamics? Do you want a space to unpick who you are, what you need and what’s right for you? Welcome, I'm Helen, most people call me Hallie. I offer one-to-one person-centred and experiential counselling and psychotherapy sessions to adults 18+ in the UK via Zoom.

You're welcome here just as you are, and I'm here to meet you where you are at your pace, without advice, honouring your experiences, what they mean to you, and the uniqueness of you. I appreciate a safe space can mean something different to all of us, and will work together to explore what this means for you. I aim to create an affirmative space together where you feel safe and valued to explore your experiences in your context, to connect with who you are, and to discover and experiment with what's right for you - in a space where you're the expert of that.

I have experience working with people with a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. I have additional experience in identity, autism, ADHD, AuDHD, highly sensitive people, high achievers, creative industries, work/ student life, perfectionism, disabilities and chronic health conditions. My approach is trauma-informed and neurodivergent, disability, LGBTQIA+ and size-affirmative.

I'm a gentle, warm and social-justice-oriented person with an anti-oppressive values-based approach. My approach is rooted in an interest in the interplay between the individual and society, power dynamics (personally, societally and in organisations), and supporting people to (re)connect with who they are. I have a background in sociology and in the creative arts, which also inform me as a person and my approach.

To enquire about current availability or to book in a free 15-minute introduction phone call or video call or a 60-minute initial session at £25, please send an email or text. I aim to respond to all messages within 48 hours on weekdays.

Thank you for considering whether I might be somebody who could support you.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
