About me
Hello! Here's a little about me;
I am a highly experienced psychotherapist. I provide short and long term therapy, having worked predominately in the NHS.
So whether you are in the midst of a crisis, experiencing indefinable feelings of dissatisfaction or seeking to focus on a specific issue, I provide a safe and confidential setting in which we can explore your emotions and thoughts in a safe and non critical environment.
I work with people of all ages – dealing with issues ranging from:
- Relationship and sexual issues
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Addiction
- Self-harm
- OCD
- Bullying
- Trauma
- Abuse
- Bereavement
- Borderline Personality Disorder
By working together I will help you evolve and transform your situation, enabling you to have greater self awareness, personal insight and self worth.
My approach is integrative as it draws on a variety of perspectives and theories (psycho-dynamic, existential, analytic and cognitive behavioural) depending on your needs and wants. I also offer CBT
However regardless of the chosen theoretical framework, I believe the success of therapy is primarily dependent on a secure therapeutic relationship - developed through acceptance, trust and understanding.
I also offer counselling and psychotherapy in Italian.
What to expect and what I can offer
I understand that coming to therapy is a a daunting experience full of mixed feelings but this is normal. I aim to allow you the time and support that you need to explore your personal story, in your own time and at your own pace.
Should you be interested in finding out more, please contact me for an initial assessment session in which we will explore what you hope to gain from therapy and address any questions or concerns you may have, all in the strictest confidence.
Following this initial session, there is no obligation to continue with therapy, the decision will be solely yours to make.
Should you wish to proceed, we will then begin to meet for 50-minute sessions on a weekly basis.
Training, qualifications & experience
My approach is holistic and integrative predominately centred on a core psycho-dynamic and humanistic approach.
I have also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I can offer this as a stand-alone approach.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
