About me

Hello, I am a trained integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor.

Are you feeling isolated, uncertain, overwhelmed or want to understand more about yourself? Have you experienced something that you need to process and talk through with a professional?

I offer a confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. This is done with the hope that you may get to know and understand yourself better, as you reflect upon the past, see the present and reframe the future.

I am an attentive listener, ensuring our sessions are judgement free and without criticism. My aim is to enable the optimal conditions for you to discuss issues, problems and experiences. I also work within the BACP Ethical Framework.

My role is to understand your experiences from your point of view and explore these with you, highlighting key emotions and feelings evident within the sessions and within the context of our therapeutic relationship. I endeavour to empower you to explore and challenge your current processes and ways of thinking.

I have 10 years experience of working within mental health services. This has been amongst various roles; in both voluntary and paid capacities spanning from acute hospitals to the charity sector. These include the NHS,  a private secure forensic hospital, MIND and SOVA Support Link.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
