About me
As an integrative counsellor, my approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has inherent worth and is entitled to essential human connection—to be acknowledged, valued, listened to, and understood.
How counselling can help
Are there times when you feel worried, lonely, angry, stressed, overwhelmed, depressed, vulnerable, or trapped and unsure of your direction? Your life’s challenging situation might feel like being on a battlefield for a long time, where you can’t see a way out or feel too exhausted to continue fighting. I am dedicated to supporting you on your journey toward healing and personal growth. You may view counselling as a way to develop strategies for facing life’s battles and overcoming challenges. While I’m here to support you in that journey, my goal goes beyond offering tools for the fight. I’m also here to help guide you away from the battlefield so that you can find peace, feel safe, and enjoy life again. The ‘miracle solution’ might come when you’re willing to see things from different perspectives and open yourself to your current and past experiences. This openness can lead to new insights that empower you to embrace your true, authentic self.
My work is client-directed, and I tailor therapy by integrating various therapeutic theories and approaches, such as psychodynamic, person-centred, CBT, creative approaches, solution-focused (brief) therapy, attachment theory, and elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), to meet your individual needs.
One day or Day one—you decide to begin the journey!
Starting counselling can bring up a range of emotions, and that’s completely normal. You may feel relieved, hopeful, uncertain, or even a bit overwhelmed. Whatever you’re feeling is okay, and we can discuss it in our session. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable, safe, and informed about everything counselling entails.
Counselling contract, confidentiality and privacy
The contract provides structure and boundaries for our work . We’ll cover some key aspects of confidentiality and privacy policy, including session length, frequency, rescheduling and other practicalities will be covered as well. I want you to feel secure about what to expect so that we can focus fully on your goals.
Understanding your needs and goals
After covering the basics, I’d love to hear what’s brought you to counselling. Some people come with a specific concern, like anxiety or relationship stress, while others seek clarity on more abstract issues, such as feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Feel free to share as much or as little as you like; we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Exploring background
For context, it can be helpful to know a bit about your background, such as family dynamics or significant life events. We don’t need to dive deeply right away, and please only share what you’re comfortable with. This information helps me understand the broader picture.
Setting goals
We’ll discuss your goals, which may range from managing stress to finding clarity or simply having a safe space for processing emotions. Goals may evolve over time, and that’s natural; think of this as a journey where our starting point and endpoint may differ.
How sessions will work
In each session, you can share what feels important to you. There’s no “right” way to proceed; some days may be focused on specific issues, while others may be more reflective. I may introduce strategies as needed, always in alignment with what feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
