About me
An Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist (Masters Degree, level 7), I offer short term counselling and long-term psychotherapy, depending on your reasons for seeking support. I work flexibly and collaboratively, in person, online and via telephone. I tailor my skills in Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to suit you and your present needs, at your own pace.
My approach is relational and holistic: I aim to create a partnership where you and I work together to achieve the goals and effect positive change, with focus on the whole person, not just the parts that may feel broken. Nobody knows you better than you, so you decide what issues we delve into together and I will provide a safe, confidential space and appropriately adapt my approach to therapy.
I have extensive experience of working with clients across all age groups, cultures, and religions, while offering a confidential, warm, empathic, friendly, supportive, non-judgmental and shame free therapeutic space. I have supported clients with issues such as:
Depression, Anxiety, Bereavement, Trauma, Self-Harm, Anger Management, Low self-esteem, Relationships, Work related issues (Stress) etc
Special areas of interest and experience:
- Complex grief –When the intensity of the grief is debilitating and doesn't decrease in the months after a loved one's death, or when one struggles with feelings of shame or internal conflict. But grief is also caused by many different kinds loss (job, friendship, homeland etc).
- Cultural diversity – Experienced in working with clients from diverse backgrounds, dealing with issues related to isolation, migration, arranged marriage, and other issues.
- Neurodiversity (both adults and adolescents). I have extensive experience of supporting the general wellbeing of university students with disabilities and neurodiversity.
If you would like to book an initial consultation or have any further questions, please feel free to contact me via email. I can offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation. You can then ask any questions you may have; this gives us both an opportunity to see if we could work together.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

First session
I offer weekly therapy sessions which last 50 minutes, online, via telephone and in person. Fortnightly sessions are available for long term and returning clients.
I appreciate that first sessions can be very daunting, so we will begin by gently exploring what is happening in your life that has brought you to therapy now. Nobody knows you better than you, so you decide what issues we delve into together and I will provide a safe, confidential space and appropriately adapt my approach to therapy.
