About me

Therapy with me is a space where you can show up as yourself without judgement, pressure, or needing to have everything figured out before you arrive.

I’m a down-to-earth therapist who believes change comes from feeling safe enough to be honest. My aim is to offer a genuine, supportive space where you feel heard and able to explore things at your own pace.

I work with people from all walks of life, with a particular interest in supporting men who may find it difficult to talk about emotions or who feel they have to keep things together. Therapy doesn’t have to feel formal or intimidating sometimes it starts with a conversation, silence, or simply being understood.

I support a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), separation anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, bereavement, family issues, low self-esteem, and feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

I also use creative approaches when helpful, including metaphors, visual tools, and more flexible ways of working when words are hard to find.

My approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Transactional Analysis. What matters most to me is the relationship we build trust, safety, and feeling understood come before any label or technique.

Some people come for short-term support, others for deeper ongoing work. Either way, we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. If you’re looking for a therapist who is approachable, grounded, and human first, I’d be glad to hear from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
