About me

  • I am a registered counsellor with the NCPS and I work from a Person Centred approach. I can offer you a safe, confidential and supportive space, somewhere where you can be heard without judgement and where, together we can explore the issues or difficulties you are experiencing.
  • In addition to my private practice, I have had over 12 years working for Waves, a Domestic Abuse Charity as a volunteer counsellor, and work with a range of issues which include; abuse (both physical and emotional), sexual abuse, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, self harm, OCD, eating disorders, low self esteem/low self confidence and loss and bereavement.
  • I also have worked for 6 yrs for Exeter and Falmouth Universities as a Mental Health Mentor supporting students, so have experience of working with a range of mental health issues and ADHD and Autism.
  • I have been a bodyworker for the past 20yrs offering shiatsu, massage and craniosacral therapy, and consider my approach to be a holistic one that looks at the body and mind as a whole, and can offer longer sessions to incorporate both body and psychotherapy.
  • I have a regular yoga practice, and love hiking, cycling and other outdoor activities. Being with nature and embracing the natural world along with plenty of sleep and a good diet, I believe is a way to reconnect with ourselves.........I would be happy to offer walk/talk sessions also.

If you would like to discuss anything with me, please feel free to call or message.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Since then I have been building my practice to offer Shiatsu, Sports Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Counselling. I am also qualified to offer Clinical Supervision.
