About me

Hi, I’m Georgia.

Whatever has brought you here, I want to offer a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood as the person you are. A place where it’s safe to explore what’s going on for you, and where you can be completely yourself without needing to explain or justify it.

I have a lot of experience supporting LGBTQIA+ people, particularly those navigating personality disorders or what’s often called ‘complex mental health.’ I also work with anxiety, depression, trauma, people who hear voices and anyone looking for a space of acceptance, empathy and compassion.

Being part of the queer community myself, I centre LGBTQIA+ experiences in my work. I’ve supported people exploring their gender identity, navigating queer relationships, working through internalised homophobia, finding self-acceptance or in coming out. I believe our sexuality, gender, race, social class, and other aspects of who we are are all connected to our emotional wellbeing, and I bring that understanding with me into every session.

I offer an initial twenty-minute conversation free of charge to see if we might be the right fit for each other. Please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling.

I’m an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on different approaches to create a way of working that fits you and responds to what you need in the moment.

Everything I do is centred around the therapeutic relationship. That might mean we explore how patterns from your other relationships such as with family, friends, or partner show up in the therapy room. I also draw from attachment-based and psychodynamic approaches, looking at how your past influences your present, and from Internal Family Systems to explore the different ‘parts’ of yourself that can sometimes feel in conflict, busy, or overwhelming. I also bring in DBT skills and mindfulness, which can be really helpful tools when emotions feel intense or unmanageable.

I’m passionate about making counselling accessible and flexible, especially for neurodivergent clients or those with chronic illness. I believe therapy should adapt to you, not the other way around, and I do my best to create a space that supports your needs.

I work collaboratively with you, providing compassionate support while gently challenging you when it’s helpful. My aim is to help you unpack what’s going on in a warm, non-judgemental space where you can feel understood and safe.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
