About me

Hello, great to meet you. Taking the first step towards counselling is a brave and positive decision, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), you can trust that you'll receive professional and ethical care in a safe and confidential environment.

In our sessions, I'll provide a warm and non-judgmental space for you to share your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Together, we'll explore your unique experiences and work towards finding solutions that resonate with you.

I have experience helping individuals from diverse backgrounds and various age groups, so no matter what challenges you're facing, I'm here to lend a listening ear and offer guidance. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, or simply feeling stuck in life, we'll collaborate to develop personalised strategies for your growth and well-being.

I believe in a holistic trauma-informed approach, combining therapeutic techniques such as person-centred therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices. By tailoring our sessions to your needs, we'll uncover new insights and empower you to make positive changes.

Alongside general psychotherapy practice, I am specialising in psychosexual therapy in issues experienced by women and assigned female at birth. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and address issues related to sexuality, whether they involve concerns around sexual functioning, intimacy, desire, or the impact of past traumas.

If you have any questions or would like to book a session, please don't hesitate to reach out. Let's embark on this transformative journey together.

Warm regards,

Genevieve

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
