About me
Hello, my name is Gemma, and I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor 👋
I am neurodivergent, queer and at times have felt like a square peg in a round hole. I spent much of my younger years feeling suicidal, out of place, and wondering when I would start to feel "normal". Does this sound familiar? Maybe I can help.
I provide a non-judgmental, confidential, and safe space supporting various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and identity work. And I have lived experience with all of these. I am very open to working creatively, including art, poetry, music and visual aids (cards/ buttons). This can be in person, online or by phone. Whatever works for you and depending on my availability.
Throughout my life, I have had many mental health challenges, including autistic burnout, struggles with ADHD, depression and anxiety. I also have a lived experience of OCD. My years of training and therapy have really helped me to understand myself. It would be my privilege to help others in the same way.
I warmly welcome neurodivergent minds and as mentioned, have lived experience in this area.
I warmly welcome the LGBTQ+ community as an ally and a member.
I have a couple of in-person slots available on Wednesday evenings in Sutton, as well as two late-night Monday slots in Tooting.
I also have online slots available (mainly on Tuesdays or Thursdays).

Prior to counselling work: MAPS Mentor in Sutton for children aged 13 - 15, Career coach for Future Frontiers (an education charity working with schools and businesses to provide coaching and access to professional role models to young people aged 14-16).

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
