About me
Hello, my name is Gemma, and I am a therapeutic counsellor 👋
Before you read any further, my in-person practice is now full, however I do have online slots available.
I am a neurodivergent, queer Londoner, and at times have felt like a square peg in a round hole. I spent much of my younger years feeling suicidal, out of place, and wondering when I would start to feel "normal". Does this sound familiar? Maybe I can help.
I provide a non-judgmental, confidential, and safe space supporting various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and identity work. And I have lived experience with all of these. I am very open to working creatively, including art, poetry, music and visual aids (cards/ buttons).
Throughout my life, I have had many mental health challenges, including autistic burnout (please feel free to read my article on neurodivergence and late diagnosis). My years of training and therapy have healed me in ways that I would not have believed years ago. It would be my privilege to help others in the same way.
I warmly welcome neurodivergent minds and as mentioned, have lived experience in this area.
I warmly welcome the LGBTQ+ community as an ally and a member.
