About me
Welcome. As someone who knows what it is like personally to be both client and therapist, I feel I can offer you an opportunity to explore yourself, your thoughts, feelings and emotions and what is happening in your life, in a space where all of you is welcome. I believe that we are all unique and the experts in our life and when we find ourselves troubled, counselling can be extremely beneficial. By exploring ourselves, we gain awareness which ultimately can lead to change helping us move in a direction true to ourselves.
I recognise that reaching out for help can be a really difficult decision for people when they are struggling. With this in mind I genuinely believe that if we are not in this world to help others, what are we here for? I have a real passion to be of service to others, and know that when an empathetic, non-judgemental space where confidentiality is upheld is offered, genuine change can happen.
Many things can hold us back in life, be it anxiety, depression, relationships, work or social troubles, sadness, anger, bereavement, intrusive thoughts or maybe just a feeling that something is not quite right. If this is true for you, I believe when we find a trusting and open relationship with another, acceptance and change can take place. If you’re feeling stuck and you like the idea of exploring this with someone else, feel free to get in touch to see if working with me could be something you are interested in. I work face to face or online. I work with all ages, and also have experience working with children and young people from 11-18 yr. olds within the school environment.
