Gary Bishop MBACP Dip. TA Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Thank you for visiting my profile. I work with individuals, couples and groups, offering short and long term psychotherapeutic counselling.
My approach is humanistic, I see each client as an individual and aim to work with you to explore the difficulties you may be experiencing and help alleviate your feelings of distress in relation to this. We will look at familiar behaviours, thoughts and feelings, providing a platform for you to think differently about your life.
During our first session we will discuss what has brought you into counselling and what your expectations are. I will talk to you about how I work and together we can decide if the relationship is suitable. In my experience the relationship between client and counsellor is key to building an environment of trust for us to be able to explore the difficulties you are experiencing.
I am an AXA PPP Healthcare registered practitioner. I also work with clients with complex needs in the NHS and charity settings.
