I am committed to providing Counselling in Bicester in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully. Exploring the way you think and feel can develop your emotional intelligence and give you the knowledge to bring about the resolve you seek. I am an individual and a therapist that believes change is possible.
As a therapist, I offer understanding, clarity and empathy. Taking this first step can be empowering and may feel a bit scary at the same time, but the best results are achieved by talking it out, with the assurance of knowing that you will not be judged, but met with empathy and understanding. We often find that we hold the answers inside ourselves, but sometimes a little help is needed to gain clarity. Sometimes, just one appointment can put you back on track, so I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, depending on your needs. My approach is to treat each person as an individual. Everyone is treated with respect and discretion.
Working as an Integrated Counsellor I find sometimes life can be difficult and can leave us feeling stuck, lost, helpless or distressed. Counselling offers you a confidential place to explore issues and feelings without any pressure or judgement. In doing so it can help reduce confusion and encourage proactive change and to help you move forward. I have a working back ground in addictions, supported living, homelessness and mental health support.
I am experienced in helping clients who have experienced difficulties with :
Stress, Panic Attacks, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Addiction, Job Loss, Spirituality, Abuse, Bullying, Carer support, Emotional abuse, Family issues, Feeling sad, Loneliness, Low self-confidence Low self-esteem, Physical abuse, Suicidal thoughts, Work-related stress.
“No matter what you’re going through, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you’ll find the positive side of things.”
I am also a qualified Reiki Master Teacher trained by using the form of Usui Shiki Ryoho. Reiki simply as a relaxing therapy, some because they are stressed, anxious, in pain, or grieving, others need more balance, or clarity in life. Reiki is helpful for all – you don't need a reason to receive it. I find that using both therapies work very well within the therapy process of releasing any stresses or worries.
