Gail Adeniyi Dip.Couns. MBACP
Hi, I am passionate about helping others to help themselves and offer a safe and confidential environment where you will feel valued and respected. Together we will explore what is going on for you so that you can get a better understanding of yourself and begin to live a more fulfilling life - whatever that looks like for you.
Life can be difficult sometimes and whether that's due to specific reasons e.g. bereavement, relationship breakdown, loss of employment or you are just feeling low or overwhelmed but you can't really pinpoint why, I can help by supporting you through this and empowering you to regain control over your life.
I believe that each person is unique and I therefore use a combined approach which brings together different elements of specific therapies so that your counselling is tailored to you and your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling; a certificate in Autism Awareness and have undergone further studies to gain a better understanding of those who are/have been affected by domestic abuse (OWLS).
I also have experience of offering counselling services in a GP practice and supporting patients with anxiety, depression, work related stress, bereavement and PTSD.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in Human Resources for 11 years and feel very comfortable working with people from all walks of life and backgrounds.
Areas of counselling I deal with
I offer a free initial consultation as this allows you to decide if I would be the best fit for your counselling needs.
