About me

I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or a sense of feeling lost or directionless. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed or anxious about the demands of life, whether at work or in relationships, and it's difficult to understand why you can't get to where you want to go.

I believe that whatever problems we face, real change can only come about through a deeper understanding of ourselves. I work with clients to try to help them make sense of their current difficulties and to uncover why some patterns might get consistently repeated in their lives or relationships, or how we often get in our own way when trying to move forwards.

I offer weekly 50 minute online sessions in the afternoons and evenings, Monday to Thursday. I generally work long-term with clients, although you can obviously choose to finish at any time that feels right. Alternatively, we can work to a fixed number of sessions, for example 16 or 20, where we can focus on a specific issue or area of your life.

The foundation of a positive therapy experience lies in the relationship between client and therapist. If you would like a free 30 minute online consultation to think about what's happening for you and to see if we might be the right fit for one another please get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
