Counselling for Anxiety, Depression, Panic, Trauma, Bereavement, Stress, Anger Management. CBT....

Choose the Right Counsellor - I am a professionally qualified counsellor offering therapy for depression, anxiety, panic attacks, stress, trauma, social anxiety, anger, bereavement, low self esteem, assertiveness, relaxation and sleep issues.

I am a registered counsellor/psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and accredited with the National Counselling Society (NCS). Being accredited is a Quality Guarantee that confirms I am working to a strict code of ethics and answerable to the Professional Bodies.

I will offer you a safe and welcoming space in which to explore your personal issues and emotions freely and openly in a confidential environment and I will listen without judgement.

I use a blend of counselling approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - CBT, the person-centred approach and the psychodynamic approach. I am passionate about helping you feel good again and establishing a strong therapeutic bond. I will provide you with self-help literature and teach you how to become your own therapist.

As well as private practice, my experience also extends to working within NHS Doctors surgeries, The Hospice, and Cruse Bereavement Care.

You can avail of both short term and open-ended therapy depending on what is right for you.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

NCS
