About me

I’m a fully qualified, BACP-registered counsellor offering therapy for both children and adults.

At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach: a space where you or your child can be heard without judgement, at your own pace, and in your own way. I also work integratively and draw on CBT when that feels useful, so the work can be adapted to the needs of each client.

I have more than 20 years’ experience working with children and young people, and have counselled children from as young as four through charity services, in offices and in schools. I have also worked with adults through charities such as MIND.

I work with anxiety, phobias, bereavement, OCD, emotional dysregulation, and other difficulties that can leave people feeling overwhelmed. I also work with many neurodivergent clients and adapt how I work so the space feels safe, clear and respectful of each person’s way of being.

As a mum of three, I trained as a counsellor because I wanted to help children and teenagers find their way through a difficult stretch of life changes at home or school, or simply feeling overwhelmed.

I have personal experience of divorce and of rebuilding a life afterwards. That is an area I care about supporting families through, whether you are in the middle of it or living with what it has left behind.

Sessions are online or face to face. There is no long-term commitment required we can begin with what feels manageable and see how we go.

If you would like support for yourself or your young person, please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
