About me

My aim is to enable you to explore your story; those things that have happened to you or are happening to you that cause pain, confusion, disruption, and distress. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space for you responding to you in a way that meets your particular needs whether you are an adult, teenager or child.

I have a particualr interest in working with those who are suffering with trauma and loss and who have experienced and are experiencing many changes and transitions for a variety of reasons.

At the heart of my practice is a person-centred integrative approach. This means that I believe you are the expert on yourself. In an empathic, compassionate, non-judgemental way I will work collaboratively with you to explore those thoughts, feelings and experiences that cause you discomfort and distress.

Integrative counselling, seeks to provide a holistic response, drawing on other theoretical approaches and interventions when appropriate to help you make sense of your story and find ways to move forward. Other methods and therapies I draw on are Psychodynamic and attachment theory, IFS (Internal Family Systems) theory,  CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and many creative approaches.

My aim is that you will feel comfortable to explore whatever you wish at your own pace and in your own way. My hope is that not only will you find a measure of healing and comfort but also a way forward for the future.

Counselling for Teens

The teenage years can be a difficult time of change and development that can be hard to navigate in the best of situations. On top of that we live in a world that is constantly changing, uncertain and pressurized. With significant experience of working within the educational system and youth provider settings, I have first hand knowledge and understanding of many of these pressures.

Counselling for children

I have received special training to work with children of 9+ and enjoy finding creative ways to help them explore what is going on for them.

I work from rooms in Ledbury and also at the Orchard Coffee House, Gorsley, HR9 7SE.

Training, qualifications & experience

CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in therapeutic counselling for Adults, Children and Young People.

PGCE and DipED Diploma

CPD in trauma informed therapy, ACT, CBT, and SFBT

I have extensive experience working with children and young people across a variety of arenas. I am passionate about supporting them as they navigate some of life's challenges and as they explore their identity and place in the world.

I also have experience working alongside parents/carers and enjoy getting alongside them as they seek to connect in a healthy way with their children and young people.
