About me
I offer short term and long term counselling for adults, teenagers, and children 9+. My approach is Person-Centred and Integrative. This means that I believe you, the client, are the expert on yourself. As I listen to your story, I will work collaboratively with you, drawing on other theoretical approaches and interventions when appropriate to help you make sense of your story and find ways to move forward. My aim is that you will feel comfortable to explore whatever you wish at your own pace and in your own way. I offer short term and long term therapy depending on your needs. We will regularly review this as we work together.
My hope is that not only will you find a measure of healing and comfort but also a way forward for the future.
I have a particular interest in working with those who are suffering with trauma and loss and who have experienced and are experiencing many changes and transitions for a variety of reasons.
Counselling for Teens
The teenage years can be a difficult time of change and development that can be hard to navigate especially in a world that is constantly changing, uncertain and pressurized. With significant experience of working within the educational system and youth provider settings, I have first hand knowledge and understanding of many of these pressures.
Counselling for children
I have received special training to work with children of 9+ and enjoy finding creative ways to help them explore what is going on for them.
I work from rooms in Ledbury, HR8 2AA and also at the Orchard Coffee House, Gorsley, HR9 7SE.
Training, qualifications & experience
CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in therapeutic counselling for Adults, Children and Young People.
PGCE and DipED Diploma
CPD in Trauma Informed Therapy, ACT, CBT, SFBT, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory
I have extensive experience working with adults, children and young people across a variety of settings and with a wide range of different concerns and issues. Being Integratively trained, I am able to tailor my work to best suit my client's needs.
I continue to update my training and love learning as much as I can in order to facilitate the growth of my clients.
