About me

I offer counselling session to individuals, adults , couples and young people.

I offer CBT, solution focused therapy or a listening ear service talking therapy.
I am able to tailor the sessions to you, the client, and your individual needs.
I offer one off , short or long term therapy.

I offer a free introductory phone / video  call.

After several traumatic years, and numerous problems in my life I engaged in therapy, which changed my life. I was really scared, as I imagine you may be? Therapy gave me the courage and the strength to begin my life again. I have never looked back. My training  has allowed me to work in doctor surgeries and now in Private practice.

What is Counselling? And what can I offer you?

Counselling is talking therapy, with a trained professional. I offer the opportunity for you to explore any issues you may be experiencing. Together we can explore your feelings ,emotions and behaviours that may be causing distress.

What can I do for YOU?

Anxiety, depression and stress are serious issues that I can help you address and explore . Counselling helps you find your inner strength and empower you to become a happier person. We can, together, find an emotional path for your journey to a new you. Together we can explore  negative thoughts that may be causing distress, reframe and retrain them to  hopefully help alleviate the stress or low mood.

I offer a safe and confidential space for you to talk and explore any issues you may be facing. Life can be such a struggle at times, and everyone needs someone to listen without judgement.

My core training was Person Centred therapy , over the years I have trained in different modalities allowing me to draw upon different approaches to suit you,  and what may work best for you. I am also a trained CBT practitioner.   As the client, you will always be centre and decide what topics we explore. We can talk about whatever you wish to bring to the sessions. I will be there to support you through an emotional, yet hopefully cathartic journey to a happier and healthier you. I can tailor the sessions and modality to suit your needs as the client .

My therapy room is located with Advance Brighter Futures on Belmont road  in Wrexham. I am located on the first floor. Car park spaces available but limited at busy periods.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
