About me

Every day I talk to people regarding their Anxiety and Stress related issues.
This can be anything from relationships to work, something from your past or something happening now like social, stress, health concerns or a fear. It can be a one off anxiety, like starting a new job, new partner, getting married, divorced or a change in your life.

Anxiety in Relationships is one of the biggest areas of challenge for people. Ranging from having narcissistic parents or partners to the painful feelings we experience in breakups.

General Anxiety - We can feel anxious and not really know why.  What can be help in this situation is to know that anxiety is a message and in our sessions we find out and solve that often buried 'why'.  Understanding feelings can be really helpful in having greater control over situations in general.

In all Anxiety is not a simple beast - it affects our body not just our mind. For instance Insomnia, not being able to sleep, is a big area of anxiety which can really effect you both mentally and physically

Specialities that I also help people with is wintertime’s Seasonal Affective Disorder and increasingly, especially post covid - support in coming off AntiDepressants and alternatives.

I always offer a complimentary initial call. So call me!

Training, qualifications & experience

Counselling, Psychology, NLP, Hypnotherapy and Coaching

Walk and Talk - Outdoor and Online Qualified - ACTO.

I have been a therapist for many years, with various trainings over those years too - consequently I would say my best qualification is my experience. I adapt to the style 'you' need, not the other way around.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

Initial 15 minute chat for you to ask all the questions you may have and tell me a little about yourself.

You can ask for a single session also which is longer as many times people just need a perspective on something that's going on in their life.   You can take an option for more sessions of course after this.  But sometimes just a chat with someone impartial really helps.

I work Online, In Person and also do Walk and Talk sessions in the park.
