About me

It takes a lot of courage to make the decision to start therapy and make change in your life. I specialise in helping individuals achieve a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, utilising my knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and working at my client's pace to achieve long-lasting change.

As an psychotherapist in the NHS, I worked extensively with individuals who have experienced complex traumas, abuse, and shame. This can leave you feeling isolated and alone in the world, often with diagnoses that are challenging and difficult to understand such as personality and/or attachment disorders. I believe in providing psychotherapy services that are tailored to each individual's needs.

I offer a safe and supportive space to explore the impact of your experiences and relationships and help you move forward with a better quality of life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have almost 10 years experience working as an NHS psychotherapist, specialising in helping people understand their experiences and move through complex trauma.

I initially trained as an Art Psychotherapist and have continued to learn and expand my knowledge in areas such as Analytic Groupwork, trauma-informed interventions and attachment based treatment.

My aim to is to work alongside my clients to gain a greater understanding and knowledge of what they experienced and the impact this has had on them, those around them and their lives in general. Together, we can begin to start figuring out what it is you want for your future and how to get there.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
