About me
Hello, I’m Faye
If you have found your way to my profile, you might be feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or simply stuck. I work with adults and young people (13+) who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or the lasting impacts of trauma and abuse.
Living rurally in Lincolnshire can make finding the right support feel like an uphill battle. To help bridge this gap, I offer flexible, weekly or fortnightly sessions online as well as face-to-face in my calm, dedicated therapy room on the edge of the Wolds. At Apricity Psychotherapy, we can move forward together.
Areas I Specialise In
- Trauma & Abuse: Healing from domestic abuse, sexual violence, or childhood trauma.
- Anxiety & Depression: Breaking free from persistent low mood, panic, and overwhelm.
- Relationship & Identity Issues: Unpacking old dynamics and finding out who you are outside of your struggles.
How I Work: A Relational and Creative Approach
I work relationally, which means I believe the therapeutic relationship we build together is the safest anchor for change. You will find no rigid medical models, clinical boxes, or judgement here. Instead, I operate from a deeply compassionate, trauma-informed lens. We pace every single session according to your comfort level; you are entirely in the driving seat of what you share and when.
To support you, I blend Integrative and Transactional Analysis (TA) frameworks. If you aren't familiar with these terms, it simply means I don't use a "one size fits all" approach. I draw on multiple modalities and adapt my tools creatively to suit your unique mind, needs, and personality.
A core part of my work involves gently unpacking and understanding the deeply ingrained patterns and behaviours that shape us and form our identity. We are all deeply influenced by the early experiences, relationships, expectations, and environments we grew up in. These shape the way we think, feel, behave, and see ourselves, often without us even realising it.
Over time, these experiences can solidify into rigid patterns, ways of coping, or beliefs about who we are and what we should expect from the world. While they may have protected you in the past, they can eventually become unhelpful, leaving you feeling trapped. Together, we will safely explore these relational patterns, process difficult emotions, and gently clear away the fog so you can move toward a clearer, more authentic sense of identity.
Taking the First Step
I know firsthand that reaching out can feel incredibly daunting, but you truly do not have to carry this weight on your own. Whether you are ready to make a significant life change, or you simply need a safe, confidential space to be heard, I am here to walk alongside you.
Please feel free to send me a message through this platform. I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation where you can ask any questions you may have about therapy, and we can discuss what you might like to focus on in our time together.
