About me
Hello, I’m Eva and thank you for looking at my page.
I am a fully qualified and insured integrative counsellor. This means I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor my work to suit your individual needs. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, I draw on different ways of working to best support you.
These approaches may include person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic approaches, and attachment-informed work. Together, we can find a way of working that feels comfortable, supportive, and effective for you.
I provide counselling sessions online via Zoom, alongside ‘Walk and Talk’ counselling within the local area of Newbury, Thatcham and Tadley, working with those aged 16 and older.
My background as a teacher for over ten years, across both primary and secondary settings, strongly informs my work as a counsellor. Throughout my teaching career, I developed a deep understanding of how individuals grow, learn, and respond to challenges at different stages of life. This experience allows me to adapt my approach sensitively to each person’s unique needs.
Working closely with neurodiverse young people has given me valuable insight into different ways of thinking, feeling, and communicating. I bring this awareness into my counselling practice, offering an inclusive and flexible approach that respects each individual’s experience.
I have also facilitated emotional literacy interventions and mindfulness sessions, supporting students to better understand and manage their emotions. These experiences have strengthened my ability to create a calm, supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings safely.
Why Counselling?
People come to counselling for many different reasons, often at times when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to navigate alone. This might include experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress or the impact of past experiences. Others come to counselling during periods of change - such as relationship challenges, loss, career transitions, or questions around identity and direction.
Counselling offers a confidential and supportive space to explore thoughts and feelings without judgement. It can help individuals gain clarity, develop coping strategies and build a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Some may seek counselling, not because something is ‘wrong’, but because they want to grow, improve their wellbeing or make lasting changes in their lives.
Whatever the reason, counselling provides an opportunity to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
How Can I Help?
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship we build together. Real progress and meaningful change happen when we feel safe, heard and supported. I believe that just as every person is unique, so too is the therapeutic process. The work we do, and the tools and techniques we use, will be tailored specifically to you.
Our work together aims to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and move towards a more fulfilling and balanced life. This may involve exploring current challenges, looking at patterns rooted in your past, or focusing on specific goals in either short-term or longer-term therapy. We will work collaboratively, at your pace, to identify and achieve the outcomes that matter most to you. I aim to provide a space to breathe, talk freely and to start feeling like yourself again.
Getting Started
Not sure yet? I offer a free 30-minute introductory consultation (by phone or video call), to discuss what you are looking for in counselling and whether we feel like a good fit to work together. If I am not the right counsellor for you, I will be happy to discuss alternative routes to help you find the right support. I aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours during the working week.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
