About me
Hello, I am Erin - a BACP accredited therapist working online and in person in north Leeds.
I offer a compassionate, down to earth and non-judgemental space where we can work together to look at what brought you to therapy. I work integratively which means I use different modalities and interventions depending on what you want and need. I believe a safe, empathic and trusting relationship is at the heart of effective therapy and we will work at a pace that is right for you, in a way that takes into account you as a whole person. I will always be open about my processes, experience and the limits of my capability. I am experienced at working creatively and use creative interventions to support our work if useful.
I believe in the power of being heard and sharing the weight of difficult experiences and their impact and I am here to support with past challenges and trauma, current uncertainty, fears, worries, anger, loss and everything else in-between. Clients I work with often have had previous traumatic experiences or relationships or have something they would like to change in their lives such as the impact of anxiety, low confidence or self esteem. I have seven years experience working with clients in various setting including in schools, for a women's charity and for Mind's bereavement service.
Reaching out is a vulnerable thing to do and I really understand how difficult finding the right support can be. I am passionate about offering personal, useful and meaningful support. To help you work out if we might be a good fit, I offer a free 20-30 minute phone consultation to gather an understanding of what you might want and need and for you to learn a bit about the way I work.
I work online or in person from several locations in central & north Leeds. All sessions are 50 minutes. Weekly and fortnightly sessions are available.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
