About me
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel overwhelming, and I understand how difficult it can be to reach out. I want to reassure you that you will be met with warmth, understanding, and no judgement. Here is a safe space for you.
I am a BACP registered and qualified therapist with a BSc Hons degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am professionally trained and have supported people from many different backgrounds, each with their own unique experiences and challenges. I’m an integrative therapist, with person centred work as my core, offering 50 and 70-minute sessions in a safe, non-judgemental space. I support clients to explore thoughts and feelings at their own pace, helping them find clarity, resilience, and personal growth. I also work as a specialist mental health mentor, which can be a key addition to our sessions on request. This could benefit clients that are seeking more guidance.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent two years working as a Teaching Assistant in Special Educational Needs schools, supporting children and young people with learning differences and neurodiverse profiles. This experience taught me the importance of trust and creating a safe, accepting space. These values are central to my work today, especially with neurodiverse clients, including those with ADHD and autism.
Additionally, with experience being a Mental Health Mentor, I help to provide guidance and support to individuals looking to navigate general life challenges and support in their emotional well-being. Drawing on my experience and training across differing therapeutic modalities, I help individuals build self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and strengthen resilience. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s needs, offering a space to explore personal growth, set goals, and gain practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and life transitions
Session Insight
My approach to counselling is warm, welcoming, and led by you. I know it can be hard to talk about what is happening in your life, so we will go at a pace that feels right for you. There is no pressure or expectation, just the chance to be heard and supported.
As an integrative/person centred therapist, I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and healing. My role is to offer empathy, acceptance, and understanding so you can explore your experiences and find your own way forward. Many people find that this helps them develop self-awareness, self-acceptance, and confidence in making changes that feel right for them.
Given my experience as a mental health mentor, I can also provide more directive goal driven support to individuals who seek additional guidance.
I have supported people with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, ADHD, autism, medical conditions, chronic illness, major life transitions and more. I have also worked with many LGBTQ+ clients, offering a safe and affirming space where all identities and experiences are respected.
I offer counselling online or by telephone using secure platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. Therapy is a space where you do not have to face things alone. Together we can explore what is happening for you, what matters most, and the changes you would like to see. My aim is to help you feel supported, understood, and ready to move towards a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
