About me
With over 25 years in human resources for global technology companies, I've transitioned to counselling and psychotherapy in the last 5 years. This career change was driven by a deep desire to connect with people and find more profound meaning in my work. My own challenging life experiences and personal therapy have equipped me with a unique understanding of growth and finding peace.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw from a comprehensive theoretical foundation, allowing for a versatile clinical approach. This means we're not confined to a single therapeutic method; instead, I combine various techniques to collaboratively create a unique path tailored to your needs. I'm dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and sometimes challenging space where we can explore your past, present, and future, helping you uncover patterns and meaning in your life. Much of my work focuses on exploring what shapes your unique identity. I'm also a Mindfulness Coach, incorporating guided meditations and journaling into sessions.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals through a diverse range of emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, low mood, panic attacks, stress, and burnout. I frequently assist clients with family and relationship issues, grief and loss, low self-esteem, and confidence issues. My expertise also extends to helping those navigating trauma and PTSD, significant life transitions, work-related stress, career challenges, and difficulties with identity and self-discovery. I provide support for improving communication and anger management.
With a particular familiarity and lived experience within the South Asian community, I understand the complex family and cultural dynamics that often arise. I can help navigate the unique challenges of living in one culture while growing up in another. My experience also includes supporting clients with multicultural concerns, addressing a broad spectrum of topics and identities such as race, religion, ethnicity, culture, and sexual orientation. I work with both individuals and couples, supporting them through a range of relationship issues.
Beyond my private practice, I also serve as a counsellor at Shooting Star Children's Hospices, where I support bereaved families and provide end-of-life care.

I am a BACP registered member (MBACP 394927).
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe that individuals are always evolving, shaped by their past and present experiences. As an Integrative Therapist, I draw from various techniques, adapting my approach to best suit your unique needs and the challenges you're facing.
In my experience, the effectiveness of psychotherapy largely hinges on finding what resonates with you. This can manifest as a sense of letting go, releasing burdens, or discovering inner strengths. You might gain a clearer understanding or a new path forward. Old, unhelpful patterns can shift, opening the door to new ways of living and being, allowing more of your true self to emerge. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, built on honesty, respect, and empowerment for both of us. By working as partners, you can engage in meaningful conversations about the changes you want to achieve.
