As an online therapist, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences. I work with bereavement and complicated grief - whether you're navigating loss, finding that grief won't follow a "normal" pattern, or discovering that bereavement has reactivated older wounds.

I have particular experience working with adults who experienced childhood abuse, sexual abuse as an adult and domestic violence. I understand how these experiences can shape your sense of safety, relationships, and self-worth. Whether you're just beginning to recognise the impact of what happened, or you've been carrying these wounds for years, I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed space where healing can unfold at your pace.

I have particular experience supporting neurodivergent individuals - whether you're newly diagnosed, late-diagnosed, or questioning if ADHD or autism might explain lifelong struggles.

I understand that neurodivergence and mental health are deeply interconnected. ADHD and autism can amplify anxiety, affect self-esteem, complicate relationships, and intertwine with trauma in complex ways. Many neurodivergent adults carry wounds from years of being misunderstood, masking, or feeling "different" - and this deserves compassionate support. This year I have completed an in-depth course about Working Therapeutically with Autistic Clients, and also attended ADHD seminars with The Grove Practice on How to Thrive with ADHD, Medications and ADHD Mindset.

I specialise in trauma-informed therapy, which means I recognise how past experiences - including years of navigating a world not designed for neurodivergent minds - can show up as anxiety, low self-confidence, depression, difficulty trusting others, or feeling disconnected from yourself. My approach isn't about "getting over" difficult experiences but learning to live with greater ease, self-compassion, and authentic connection.

My qualifications: Master's in Integrative Counselling (distinction), PG Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy, BSc (First) in Counselling Psychology, and BACP registration. I maintain comprehensive supervision including biweekly clinical and psychodynamic group supervision, plus weekly specialised training in complex trauma through the Carolyn Spring Trauma Recovery Community.

My experience spans Mind, Leeds Domestic Violence Service, Psychiatry-UK (working with neurodivergent individuals), St George's Crypt, the Wilberforce Trust, and men's mental health charities including Talk Club and True North Collective. Overall, these experiences have given me a broad understanding of mental health, trauma recovery, neurodivergence, and the specific challenges men face in accessing therapy and emotional support.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, OCD, ADHD, autism, bereavement, low self-worth, relationship struggles, or the aftermath of trauma, together we'll create a safe space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, reconnect with your resilience, and discover new ways of being.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
