About me

Feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or stuck, even after trying to talk about it?

You might overthink everything, but struggle to put it into words. You might mask how you're really feeling, push through, and then crash. Or swing between anxiety, burnout, and complete shutdown, wondering why nothing seems to shift.

If that sounds familiar, you're not broken. And you're not alone.

I'm a trauma therapist in Wiltshire and online, working with adults and teens (15+) who feel stuck, exhausted, or not quite themselves. I specialise in somatic therapy, neurodivergent-affirming therapy (Autism, ADHD, OCD), and supporting people for whom talking therapy alone hasn't been enough.

I work with clients in person in Chapmanslade, near Frome, and in Westbury, Warminster, and online across the UK.

How I Work
Most therapy focuses on talking. My work also includes your body, because that's often where stress, trauma, and overwhelm live.

We go at your pace. There's no pressure to have the right words or a clear story. You can come exactly as you are.

Together, we might:

  • Gently explore what's going on for you.
  • Notice patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
  • Use grounding, breath, or simple body-based tools.
  • Understand the parts of you that feel stuck, shut down, or overwhelmed.
  • Clients often tell me sessions feel calming, grounding, and different from anything they've tried before.

Who I Work With.

  • Trauma and PTSD, including childhood, relational, and complex trauma
Anxiety, panic, and emotional overwhelm, including freeze, collapse, and chronic stress.
  • Neurodivergence, Autism, ADHD, OCD, and sensory differences, with an affirming, non-pathologising approach.
  • Burnout, shutdown, and exhaustion, especially for those who mask or people-please to get through the day.
  • Grief and loss,  including grief that feels stuck, heavy, or complicated
    Shame, self-criticism, and low self-worth.
  • Teens (15+), particularly those who are neurodivergent, anxious, or struggling to express themselves in Wiltshire and online

You don't need to have experienced "big trauma." Many of the people I work with simply feel stuck, overwhelmed, or not quite themselves and haven't been able to shift it on their own.

My Approach
I'm a somatic trauma therapist in Wiltshire specialising in nervous system regulation and body-based therapy for trauma and neurodivergence.

I draw on:

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
  • Polyvagal-informed practice (Deb Dana).
  • Somatic Trauma Therapy (Babette Rothschild).
  • Person-centred and attachment-based understanding.

If you've searched for a trauma therapist near Frome, a somatic therapist in Wiltshire, or a neurodivergent therapist online, this is the kind of work I do.

The aim isn't to fix you. It's to help you feel safer, more connected, and more like yourself again.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Specialism in trauma, somatic (body-based) therapy and neurodiversity (Autism/ADHD/OCD), supporting overwhelmed adults and teens (15+) with anxiety, burnout, masking, shutdowns, grief and complex emotional pain.

I specialise in:

• Trauma & somatic therapy (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Babette Rothschild, Polyvagal-informed)
Working deeply with the nervous system, the body, and the places where trauma is held.

• ND-affirming therapy for Autism, ADHD, OCD & sensory profiles
Supporting teens and adults who mask, shut down, feel overwhelmed, or haven’t felt understood elsewhere.

• Anxiety, overwhelm & nervous-system dysregulation
Including panic, freeze, collapse and chronic stress patterns.

• Masking, shutdowns, freeze & emotional overload
Helping you understand and work with your system rather than against it.

• Grief, complex loss & long-term emotional pain
For those experiencing grief that feels stuck, heavy or complicated.

• Relational trauma, childhood trauma & attachment wounds
Working safely and slowly with long-held patterns.

• Teen support (15+)
Especially teens who are ND, anxious, burnt out, or struggling to express themselves.

If you’ve tried talking therapy but still feel stuck, my work goes deeper, into your body, your patterns, and your nervous system.

Further information

If you decide to get in contact, the first step would be for us to arrange an initial counselling session, which could take place over the telephone or online. This initial session is an opportunity to get a feel for the process and decide if you want to continue.

There is no pressure to commit to continuing, as the most important thing is to find a counsellor who is right for you and who you can trust and connect with. If you choose to continue, we will arrange a regular meeting time each week.

The counselling process is unique to each individual and can be short or long-term, but it is reviewed during our work together.

Please do get in touch to arrange an initial appointment or if you would like to have a brief introductory chat first. I look forward to hearing from you.
