About me
Hello, welcome to my profile.
Thinking about your life situation can sometimes feel daunting, scary, overwhelming and upsetting.
Life can sometimes throw us into situations we don't expect and find hard to deal with and get out of. Sometimes, coping can seem impossible when your world is falling around you. Talking to somebody about these troubles might be a big step, but I can help you reduce your heavy load and feelings over time. You are not alone in this.
It's much easier when you have someone to guide and support you, someone who has felt as you have and worked through it.
Having experienced counselling myself and sharing a problem with someone I could trust, someone who didn't judge me, and someone with whom I could just be me was a life-changing experience.
I understand how overwhelming life can be. My journey with past trauma and life difficulties has given me an understanding of what works well to feel better and what could help you, too. I’ve been in your shoes, feeling alone and misunderstood, like I had all the bad luck, and I know the courage it takes to seek help and to work on those things for a better and more fulfilling life of calm and happiness.
Why Choose Me?
I can help you to move through difficult feelings to a happier place.
I offer you a safe place to come each week. We would work together to restore safety in your life, process what has gone on for you, and provide time to work out your needs and wants.
I bring empathy and understanding to our sessions, informed by my training and life experiences.
I specialise in working with anxiety and traumas from the past or present and any related issues such as depression, relationship problems, anxiety, and low self-worth. I have also gained experience in working with OCD difficulties due to traumas.
Together, you can heal from past/ present pains and build healthier relationships with loved ones and friends, free from anxiety and whatever is holding you back.
Understanding Trauma.
Trauma can stem from abuse, neglect or distressing events and can affect you emotionally, physically, and in the way you might behave or act. It could manifest as anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or self-destructive behaviours. I provide a safe space for you to explore these feelings and experiences.
My Approach.
My counselling style is warm, nonjudgmental, and client-centred. You have the inner resources to create change; I’m here to guide and facilitate that process.
I use mindfulness, breath, and relaxation/ grounding techniques to help manage stress/trauma and stay grounded. These techniques help you come back into the present moment and back into your body, regulating the body and mind and allowing you to live a freer life.
I've helped many people overcome their struggles and to go on and live more fulfilling lives.
How I Can Help.
In our sessions, we’ll identify and address the root causes of your struggles. You’ll develop effective coping strategies and gain confidence and self-awareness. Grounding techniques will enable you to feel better in moments of difficulty and will be a lifelong support if things get tough.
You’ll experience a sense of calm and peace, allowing you to enjoy life more fully.
No matter what you’ve experienced or your current challenges, we can create a future that helps build the life you want around your previous experiences.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
If you decide to get in contact, the first step would be for us to arrange an initial counselling session, which could take place over the telephone or online. This initial session is an opportunity to get a feel for the process and decide if you want to continue.
There is no pressure to commit to continuing, as the most important thing is to find a counsellor who is right for you and who you can trust and connect with. If you choose to continue, we will arrange a regular meeting time each week.
The counselling process is unique to each individual and can be short or long-term, but it is reviewed during our work together.
Please do get in touch to arrange an initial appointment or if you would like to have a brief introductory chat first. I look forward to hearing from you.
