About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by anxiety, stress, or past experiences?
Life’s challenges—whether past trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, or significant life transitions—can feel isolating and exhausting. You may be caught in negative thought patterns, struggling with relationships, or feeling emotionally drained.
But you don’t have to go through this alone. Seeking support is an act of courage, and I’m here to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what’s holding you back and start moving toward the life you deserve.
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Emma, a trauma-informed counsellor with extensive experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, and past trauma.
My approach is warm, supportive, and client-centred—tailored to your unique experiences and needs.
I understand firsthand how overwhelming life can feel when trauma and stress take over, and I bring both professional expertise and deep empathy to our sessions.
How Can I Help You?
I specialise in working with individuals who are struggling with:
✔ Anxiety & panic attacks – Managing overwhelming worry, intrusive thoughts, and physical symptoms
✔ Trauma & PTSD – Processing past experiences and finding relief from emotional and physical distress
✔ Low self-esteem & confidence issues – Breaking free from self-doubt and developing self-worth
✔ Grief & bereavement – Navigating loss and learning to live with the loss in a way that honours your emotions
✔ Feeling stuck or lost – Exploring life transitions, identity struggles, and ways to move forward
✔ Relationship challenges – Overcoming patterns of unhealthy dynamics, codependency, or emotional struggles
✔ Neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD challenges) – Supporting individuals in understanding and managing the unique experiences of living with neurodivergence
Where Does Therapy Happen?
I offer a range of flexible therapy options to suit your needs:
📍 In-person therapy – Private, face-to-face sessions in a safe and supportive space.
🌿 Walk & Talk therapy – Some people find opening up while walking outdoors easier. This approach can help you feel more relaxed, connected, and free to express yourself. Nature-based therapy can also support emotional processing and stress relief.
💻 Online therapy: Flexible sessions via Zoom allow you to access support from the comfort of your home.
📞 Phone therapy – For those who prefer voice-based support.
What Would We Do in Therapy?
As an integrative therapist, I use a range of approaches tailored to your needs, including:
🔹 Mindfulness & Breathwork – Helping you manage stress, stay grounded, and regulate emotions
🔹 Trauma-Informed Therapy – Exploring past experiences safely to reduce their emotional hold on you
🔹 Body-Centered Approaches – Understanding the mind-body connection to release tension and anxiety
🔹 Cognitive & Emotional Processing – Identifying unhelpful patterns and creating new ways of thinking
🔹 Grief & Loss Support – Helping you process emotions and find meaning after loss
Together, we’ll work at your pace to understand your experiences, break free from negative cycles, and create healthier patterns that allow you to feel more in control and at peace.
What Are the Benefits of Therapy?
By working together, you will:
✔ Gain tools to manage anxiety, overwhelm, and intrusive thoughts
✔ Understand and process past trauma in a safe and supportive way
✔ Develop emotional resilience and confidence in yourself
✔ Improve your relationships and feel more connected to those around you
✔ Feel calmer, more grounded, and empowered to take charge of your life
Whether you’ve been carrying the weight of past experiences for years or are facing a new challenge, therapy can help you move forward.
Why Choose Me?
I know how challenging it can be to take the first step toward seeking support. My personal and professional experience allows me to understand feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected deeply.
I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space where you will feel heard, supported, and truly understood. My approach isn’t about “quick fixes” but helping you create lasting change to move forward with confidence, peace, and emotional freedom.
If you find traditional therapy settings challenging, walk-and-talk therapy might be the right approach. It combines movement, fresh air, and therapeutic conversation to help you process emotions in a relaxed, natural setting.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
If you decide to get in contact, the first step would be for us to arrange an initial counselling session, which could take place over the telephone or online. This initial session is an opportunity to get a feel for the process and decide if you want to continue.
There is no pressure to commit to continuing, as the most important thing is to find a counsellor who is right for you and who you can trust and connect with. If you choose to continue, we will arrange a regular meeting time each week.
The counselling process is unique to each individual and can be short or long-term, but it is reviewed during our work together.
Please do get in touch to arrange an initial appointment or if you would like to have a brief introductory chat first. I look forward to hearing from you.
