About me

I am an integrative psychotherapist working with adults. My approach to therapy is multifaceted, drawing from a diverse set of modalities tailored to your unique needs. This may involve the application of CBT techniques, mindfulness practices, bodywork, and psychodynamic insights. My specialisation encompasses a variety of areas, some of which include anxiety, panic, burnout, perfectionism, depression, trauma, self-esteem challenges, negative core beliefs, feelings of being “stuck” in life, and navigating complex relational dynamics and family issues.

In our therapeutic space, I foster a creative and collaborative environment where we will explore your present experiences while considering how your past may have shaped you as an individual. Together, we will work towards healing, enabling you to regain a sense of empowerment and the ability to embrace life's full potential. I consider the therapeutic relationship to be the cornerstone of successful therapy. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are in your journey and create a nurturing environment where you can openly express yourself with ease.

Thought processes and emotions can often run wild in our minds, we can lose any sense of hope and feel like it is not worth living any more. In therapy we will gently explore and untangle these difficult emotions, as well as the pain that might be festering from deep within. Together we will peel back the many layers that life has placed upon you and recover the truest parts of yourself that may have been affected along the way.

I fully appreciate that reaching out for therapy can be scary and in some cases quite daunting but I can assure you that we will always work at a pace that makes you feel comfortable.

In our initial session together, you will be able to share your reasons for coming to therapy as well as any goals you would like to work towards. This will give you an opportunity to sense how it feels talking with me, you will also be able to ask any questions about how I work during this time.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
