About me

Hello! I am a Glasgow-based art psychotherapist offering a supportive space for individuals who may be feeling anxious or low, going through a difficult period in their life, or experiencing challenges in their relationships. My aim is to provide a compassionate environment where you can explore your feelings and move towards greater wellbeing.

Currently I offer both online art therapy sessions and outdoor environmental art therapy sessions. Please get in touch to arrange a free initial consultation.

About Art Therapy Sessions

My practice is person-centredpsychodynamically informed, and trauma-informed, meaning the therapy is tailored to your individual needs and grounded in safety, trust, and collaboration. In our sessions, we may use a range of art materials and creative techniques to help express and process complex thoughts and feelings, and to make meaning of your experiences.

You don't need any prior experience in art -  the focus is on process, exploration, and curiosity-driven reflection. Together, we'll work in a safe space where difficult issues can be explored without judgement. This can open up new perspectives and support deeper self-understanding and compassion.

In my work, I support people who:

  • Feel overwhelmed by emotions
  • Experience depression and/or anxiety
  • Are navigating loss, change, or transition
  • Wish to explore themes of identity or belonging
  • Want to build confidence and self-compassion
  • Are seeking new ways to express themselves and connect with their environment
  • Wish to better understand themselves and make sense of their experiences
  • Seek to create stronger relationships

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MA degree in Art Therapy from the University of Hertfordshire and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Glasgow.

I am registered with Health and Care Professions Council, am a Full Member of British Association of Art Therapists and a Full Individual Member of European Art Therapy Association.

I have over 7 years of experience supporting people in a variety of settings, including community centres, and depression and addiction treatment centres. I offer individual, dyadic and group art therapy sessions for adults and young people both in my private practice and through a community arts charity.

Environmental art therapy

I am experienced in facilitating environmental art therapy sessions as well as workshops. These sessions often follow the cycle of the seasons, offering opportunities to explore personal themes through nature-based creative processes. In a way, nature becomes a co-therapist - holding us, and mirroring back our experiences. Being outdoors naturally invites mindfulness, as we tune in more fully to our senses, surroundings, and embodied responses. This way of working can help us feel more grounded and calm, and can offer a renewed sense of belonging within ourselves and the wider environment.
