About me

I am a Glasgow based art psychotherapist. In my practice I focus on creating a safe space for a person’s journey of self-discovery, and nurturing of self-esteem and resilience.

Currently I am offering online art therapy sessions and outdoor environmental art therapy sessions. Please get in touch to book a free initial consultation.

About Art Therapy Sessions

I seek to find ways of expression that feel good and are inspiring for the person I work with. In a session we may use various art materials and creative techniques, which allow to express and explore complex feelings and states of mind using image, colour, texture, movement, and metaphor as well as conversation.

My practice is person-centred and psychodynamically informed. No prior art making experience is needed as the focus is on the process, play and curiosity driven reflection. In a trust and respect based therapeutic relationship difficult issues are considered in a non-judgemental way, opening new perspectives on personal experience and leading to a deeper self-understanding and compassion.

In my work I support people who:

  • Struggle with overwhelming emotions
  • Feel depressed and/or anxious
  • Feel lost or burned out
  • Experience loss and change
  • Wish to grow more confident and self-compassionate
Seek to better understand themselves and to make sense of their experiences
Look for new ways to express themselves and to connect to their environment

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MA degree in Art Therapy from the University of Hertfordshire and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Glasgow.

I am registered with Health and Care Professions Council, am a Full Member of British Association of Art Therapists and a Full Individual Member of European Art Therapy Association.

I have over 7 years of experience supporting people in a variety of settings, including community centres and schools, as well as depression and addiction treatment centres. I offer individual, dyadic and group art therapy sessions for adults and young people both in my private practice and through a community arts charity.
