About me

Hi, I’m Eloise, a fully qualified counsellor and accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), working in private practice online and in Hanham, Bristol. I aim to provide a space for you to feel heard and accepted, working collaboratively to find ways to help with emotional difficulties and challenges. I am an integrative counsellor, meaning I use an amalgamation of counselling techniques, tailored for the individual client, believing you and your needs are unique. A humanistic, person-centred approach is at the core of my practice, placing you, your needs and values at the heart of our therapeutic relationship.

I offer in person sessions from the comfort of my practice room or through the outdoor experience of walk and talk. I also offer remote sessions through video calls or telephone. If you aren't sure, please get in touch with me to help you determine what session type would suit you.

Finding a counsellor can feel overwhelming when searching for someone who is right for you and I offer a free 15 minute consultation for us to meet and decide if you feel comfortable to continue into sessions. The cost of a 50 minute session is £50 and when paying in a block of 6 the cost is £45 per session.

During our sessions the pace and how you wish to talk about your life is up to you and we will talk about your feelings, thoughts, bodily sensations and responses in relation to content you bring. Counselling can be a valuable space to give time and thought to yourself, focusing on your needs. I work with empathy and understanding, offering a non-judgmental space to facilitate this.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
