If you're struggling with emotions, relationships, challenging circumstances, want to create and achieve goals or simply work on self-awareness and development, you're in the right place.
I aim to bring a fresher approach to the counselling process in the way that I work. I aim to ditch the robotic, almost scripted feeling that some counselling sessions can give, and bring a more uplifting and personable energy to the experience. The aim is that you will feel comfortable, free to be yourself, and valued within the space, safe in the knowledge that I am supporting you every step of the way. With a healthy balance of embracing all that makes us both human, and the assurance of ethical and safe practice, I believe that this is the perfect combination for an effective and enjoyable therapeutic experience.
I am a Humanistic Gestalt Counsellor and member of the BACP, and have experience working with clients of all ages. I've worked with a range of issues, from depression, stress and anxiety, to loneliness, relationship and family issues, sexuality and gender identity. I have a lot of experience working with anxiety, from generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety and panic attacks, to phobias.
I have a special interest in working with people of the LGBTQ+ community, whether that be exploring or coming to terms with feelings around sexuality or identity, the prospect of coming out, or navigating issues afterwards. I also work with people who are experiencing relationship struggles, whether that be with family, friends, partners, affairs, betrayals, separation, ex partners or finding a partner.
I work collaboratively with clients to ensure they feel safe, heard and understood, as well as identifying areas of life that they wish to work on, and how we might go about achieving long lasting, positive change.
My naturally down to earth approach enables our sessions to feel comfortable, establishing a therapeutic relationship in which we are both on an equal footing, working together.
Working online and over the phone, my service is accessible to most people across the UK, and mitigates the risk of Covid-19. I am able to work in both a short or long-term capacity, depending on your needs.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
