About me

Feeling overwhelmed, lost, or struggling with difficult emotions?  Having a space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard can make a real difference.

Hi, I'm Liz, a Relational Integrative Psychotherapist. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can slow down, feel listened to, and talk honestly about what's happening in their lives. I aim to offer a warm and supportive relationship in which you can explore whatever brings you to therapy.

I believe therapy is not about being told what to do. Rather, it is an opportunity to better understand yourself, explore patterns in your life and relationships, and find ways of moving forward that feel right for you. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and develop a kinder relationship with yourself.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor my work to your individual needs, because there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

If you choose to get in touch, we will begin with an initial consultation to explore what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from counselling, and whether working together feels like the right fit. Feel free to call me, text or WhatsApp on 07960283262.

As a registered member of the BACP, I work within their ethical framework and provide a safe and confidential service. I offer face-to-face and online counselling, with flexible appointment times to help make therapy accessible.

Whatever brings you to therapy, you will be met with kindness, curiosity, and acceptance. You do not have to face things alone.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have travelled extensively and lived abroad helping me to gain a working knowledge of many cultures. My Theology degree has deepened my understanding of a variety of religious beliefs and their impact on a person’s life. This means that I can work sensitively within your belief system. After working in Education for many years I continued on to complete my Masters in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I worked as a therapist for two years in a busy GP’s surgery before moving into private practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
