About me
I am a qualified person-centred therapist and couple’s therapist with over 10 years’ experience. My specialisms are relationships issues, past trauma, communication, self-esteem and intimacy. I believe in a client centred approach, working collaboratively with client to empower them to reach their goals.
Outside of Therapy I work as a family liaison officer at a specialist primary school, supporting families as they navigate having a child with additional needs.
I work with clients on issues they want to focus on, offering a supportive space for individuals and couples. I build a relationship with my clients, exploring their backgrounds to help support their future. I ensure my clients feel heard and safe in order for them to flourish both as an individual and a couple.
Clients comments about our work include:
- The sessions highlighted our apprehensions and helped resolve the anxiety and provided a positive way forward.
- Individual sessions really good, got to know the therapist and felt they knew me. The best sessions were the hardest ones.
- Felt therapist knew when to interject and when to hold back and let us talk. Felt therapist asked good questions
- Liz was excellent, on the money questions and helped us realise things.
- The sessions have saved our marriage. Given us more insight and tools to work through things. We started off almost on different planets and then the sessions gave us that common ground and safe space to work through everything in a supported way. We each felt very supported and heard. That has enabled us to come back together again.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
