How I work
People describe me as warm and easy to talk to, which is helpful for most people, especially at the start. I work in an integrative way, which means I integrate knowledge and tools from a variety of therapies. We will explore what it is you would like to deal with in therapy and we will agree therapeutic goals. I will offer you therapy tailored to your needs and we will work in a way that works best for you.
I work in a humanistic way, which means that I will support you to freely explore your whole life experience over the past, present and future. My main framework is known as Existential Psychotherapy, which helps people to live a more satisfying life, on their own terms, with the responsibility and freedom that comes with it.
*CBT * Humanistic * Existential *Mindfulness

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a master’s level qualified counsellor and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. You can be assured that my work adheres to the highest professional and ethical standards.
I have had many years of education up to Masters level in Psychology and also Organisational and Occupational Psychology. This means I have a deep knowledge of psychological theory which informs the way I work. Complementing my learning and education, is the way I work, which is by connecting with you in a human and practical way, and not a ‘heady’ intellectual way.
I have previously worked in the NHS and other counselling services and have experience of helping people with a range of mental health, relationship, and life difficulties.
In my personal journey, prior to becoming a Psychotherapist, I had a corporate career which have had its own challenges and many ups and downs. It is fair to say that I have had my own dealings with stress, work-life balance, strained relationships, and burnout.
I am currently completing a Doctorate in Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology at The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology and Middlesex University. My area of research is burnout.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
