About me
Therapy that meets you where you are.
I know that contacting a therapist can feel daunting. You may have been thinking about it for a long time, or today may be the day you've decided something needs to change. Whatever has brought you here, my hope is that from our very first conversation you'll feel listened to, accepted and able to be yourself.
I work with adults from all walks of life, supporting people experiencing anxiety and stress, relationship difficulties, difficult family dynamics, grief and loss, caring responsibilities, the emotional impact of living with long-term health conditions, and autistic adults.
My work is grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), a therapeutic approach that helps us understand how our early experiences and relationships influence the way we think, feel and relate to ourselves and others. While TA provides the foundation for my work, therapy with me isn't about complicated theory. It's about building a trusting relationship where you feel safe enough to explore what matters most to you.
I believe therapy works best when you don't have to fit into someone else's way of working. Instead, we create a way of working together that fits you.
Every person is unique, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs. Some people prefer simply to talk, while others benefit from taking time to process, communicating more directly, or using visual or creative approaches. Where it feels helpful, we might use imagery, drawing, cards, objects or a whiteboard to explore thoughts and emotions or organise ideas that are difficult to put into words. There is never any expectation to work creatively, but the opportunity is there if it supports the way you think and process information.
I work long term, short term face to face and online
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked with adults in private practice since 2022, supporting people through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.
Alongside my core counselling training, I continue to invest in my professional development to ensure my practice reflects current knowledge and best practice. In particular, I have developed a strong interest in supporting autistic adults and have undertaken additional training to deepen my understanding of autism.
My learning has reinforced something I believe is true of every client: no two people experience the world in the same way. Rather than making assumptions, I take time to understand each person's communication style, processing preferences, sensory experiences and strengths, adapting therapy to meet the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit the therapy.
- Level 7 Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling
- Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Clients often describe me as warm, approachable and easy to talk to. My style is nurturing, compassionate and down to earth, while also being open, honest and gently challenging when it feels appropriate.
I don't believe people need fixing. I believe people need the opportunity to understand themselves, feel accepted and discover new ways of moving forward.
You are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you who you are or what decisions to make, but to walk alongside you as we explore your experiences together, helping you recognise your strengths, make sense of what's happening and move towards the life you want to live.
Whether this is your first experience of therapy or you're returning after having counselling before, we'll work together at a pace that feels safe, comfortable and right for you.
Finding the right therapist is an important decision, and I'd be pleased to hear from you if you feel my approach resonates with you.
