About me

Welcome to EEA Counselling, it is privilege to be trusted with any issues you may be struggling with. I have experience of working with a wide range of clients aged from 11-80, and offer a friendly, welcoming environment, where you will be listened to with empathy and without judgement. I have worked successfully with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, anger management, low self esteem, self harm, bereavement  relationship issues.sexuality and gender dysphoria, domestic and sexual abuse, and spirituality. Alongside talking therapy I work creatively with clients using, colour, imagery, and various  artistic materials providing  tools and techniques to help you  mange issues in your everyday life. My aim is to aid you to focus on your individual needs and strengths, and help you to reach your full potential, by understanding your true self. Whatever issues you may be struggling with, I will work with you towards finding a new way of thinking.

You may feel overwhelmed embarrassed or confused by your feelings, I am here to help you. Together we can talk through any issues past or present that may have left you feeling powerless or trapped.

I feel passionately about helping people to lead more fulfilling lives, one main benefit from therapy is that can help us explore what is going on inside, allowing us the space to reconnect with our inner-self. Working together I can aid you to find ways that empower you to make real and lasting change.

I am trained and qualified to deliver my work as a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their ethical framework. I attend fortnightly  supervision for all my counselling work, and I have an enhanced DBS check, registered with the update service.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration.
