About me
Hello and welcome, and thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. My name is Elisabetta. I am a qualified integrative counsellor, trained at the University of Edinburgh, and I also hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Italy. I am based in Edinburgh and offer individual sessions both in person and online, in English and Italian. As a systemic practitioner, I also work with couples and families who are experiencing relational difficulties, moments of impasse, or periods of transition.
My therapeutic approach brings together psychodynamic thinking and a systemic–family orientation. I work from the belief that we do not exist in isolation: the contexts we grow up in, the relationships we form, and the communication patterns we learn all play a significant role in shaping how we understand ourselves and others.
Training, qualifications & experience
Based on this, I offer a non‑judgemental, warm and empathic space where we can explore these elements together. Through this collaborative process, we can begin to discover alternative perspectives, meanings and narratives that may help ease moments of difficulty and open up new possibilities for change.
Whether you are seeking support as an individual, a couple, or a family, my aim is to create a reflective and compassionate environment where your experiences can be understood, your strengths recognised, and your relationships supported toward greater clarity, connection and wellbeing.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
