About me

You might be feeling stuck, not quite yourself, or struggling in ways that are hard to put into words. You may not have a clear reason for how you are feeling, only a sense that things cannot carry on as they are. This might show up as anxiety, low mood, or difficulties in your relationships, or in feeling overwhelmed or unable to switch off.

I offer a space where you can bring whatever feels difficult, tangled or too much to carry alone. It does not need to be neatly expressed. You do not need to arrive with certainty.

I will be alongside you in the work, attentive, thoughtful and engaged. If something feels hard to say, we can stay with that. If something shifts between us, we can look at that too. Therapy is not about quick fixes, but about allowing what is real to be met and understood.

Often the things that trouble us have roots that reach further back than we first realise. Certain ways of coping or relating can become so familiar that we hardly notice them, even when they hurt. I am interested in helping you notice these patterns gently, and in making sense of how they came to be.

A significant part of my work is with neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD and autism. I am particularly drawn to supporting people who have spent years feeling misunderstood, too much or not enough, or worn down from masking. Some feel exhausted from overthinking social interactions or questioning themselves in environments that never quite felt right. I approach your experience with curiosity and care, not assumption. You will not be asked to shrink or reshape yourself here.

I care deeply about supporting people through pregnancy and early parenthood, including prenatal and postnatal depression and anxiety, miscarriage and baby loss. You may be grieving a baby you never got to meet. You may feel numb, frightened, ashamed or not like yourself at all. These experiences can be quietly devastating and deeply lonely. They deserve care, understanding and space to be spoken about.

I also work with adults living with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties and times of change. More than any diagnosis, I am interested in what it feels like to be you.

Sessions take place in Hursley, near Winchester, and in Basingstoke, with online appointments also available. Both locations offer a private, comfortable space to talk. The Hursley room has step-free access, free parking, and peaceful surroundings. The Basingstoke room is centrally located. Sessions are weekly and last 50 minutes. I work exclusively with adults and welcome people of all identities and backgrounds.

If you would like to see whether this feels like the right place to begin, you are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
