About me
I’m a registered Psychologist and male therapist offering online sessions for men who want a straightforward and grounded approach to therapy. My work is built around Compassion‑Focused Therapy (CFT) with emotional regulation and stress management. This is especially for men who feel pressure to “just get on with it” and may not find traditional therapy styles helpful.
Men often come to me when they’re carrying a lot on their own: anxiety, depression, stress, anger, shame, relationship strain, or the sense of being overwhelmed but unable to slow down. I offer a space that’s calm, steady, and practical, somewhere you don’t have to perform, explain everything, or worry about being judged.
My style is direct, warm, and strength‑based. We work together to understand what’s driving your stress or emotional patterns, and build tools that fit your life, your responsibilities, and the way you operate. There's no pressure, we can work together to help you get back on your feet and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a registered psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical & Forensic Psychology and specialist training in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), emotion regulation, and stress management. My background includes working with men across a wide range of pressures from work-related stress and burnout to anger, shame, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, high self-criticism, relationship difficulties, and the impact of long-term coping patterns.
My extensive experience spans private practice, NHS inpatient, and community services. I focus on practical tools, emotional regulation skills, and building confidence.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

I also work with issues that many men find difficult to talk about, including pressure to cope alone, anger that feels hard to manage, emotional shutdown, shame, high self‑criticism, and the impact of long‑term stress. I support men who struggle to express emotion, feel disconnected in relationships, or feel overwhelmed but unsure where to start.

Further information
Many men tell me they prefer working with a male therapist because it feels easier to talk openly without worrying about being judged or misunderstood. If you’re looking for a male counsellor who works in a calm, steady, and practical way, I offer online therapy for men across the UK.
I understand that a lot of men reach out at the point where stress, pressure, or emotion has built up over time. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear story before you start; we can take things one step at a time. My aim is to make therapy feel straightforward and grounded, with a focus on helping you understand what’s going on underneath and what will genuinely help you move forward.
I offer flexible weekday evening and weekend appointments for men who work shifts, long hours or unpredictable schedules. If you want to get a feel for my approach before committing, we can have a brief initial conversation. It’s a chance to see whether working together feels right for you.
